Obituary of Harold Grant
Harold B. Grant, 75, of the Brookfield section of White Township, NJ passed away peacefully on November 2, 2016 with his family by his side.
He was born on April 22, 1941 in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada to the late Harold and Lottie Grant.
Harold graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor's degree in business. He met and married the love of his life Susan. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Harold was employed as an insurance underwriter. Over the years he worked for Chubb & Son, AIG and Continental insurance companies. After retiring as an underwriter, he took a part time job as a school bus driver. He and his wife raised their children in Clinton, NJ. He enjoyed playing golf and loved ski. He was a San Francisco 49ers fan and would always route for the Boston Red Sox. Harold was a wine connoisseur. After retirement, he was a tour guide for the Westport Winery and Buzzards Bay Brewery while living in the Massachusetts area. He often would be seen walking his favorite companion, his Cairn Terrier Maggie. He loved his family and treasured every moment with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Susan, his loving children, daughter, Kimberly Grant and her husband Lance, son Thomas Grant and his wife Michelle, a daughter, Kelly Leeds and her husband Brett, and Caitlin Em and her husband Rob. 5 cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Carter, Stella, Ruby and Nolan. A brother Ellis Grant and his wife Judy. He is preceded in death by a sister Genevieve and a brother Douglas Grant.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2-5 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated immediately following at 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
