Obituary of Barbara S. Gilmartin

STEWARTSVILLE- Formerly of North Carolina, Barbara S. Gilmartin (nee Sayers), 72, peacefully passed on February 7, 2017 at home with her daughter by her side. She was born on August 31, 1944 to the late Agnes (nee McAleer) and James Sayers in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. Barbara was a graduate of Upper Darby High School. She went on to become a flight attendant for Delta Airlines and later in life the owner of New Vernon Travel. Barbara was married to her best friend Thomas and together they enjoyed traveling the world. All who knew Barbara will remember her keen sense of humor, her kindness and her dedicated love that touched the lives of family and friends. Barbara is survived by her loving daughter Heather Gilmartin. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas. A Celebration of Life is being planned for the spring and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Warren Hills Memorial, 234 Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ.
