Obituary of Thomas David

Thomas David, 87, died June 5, 2009 in Easton Hospital . Born: Paterson , NJ , March 9, 19 22 , son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth David. Personal: He resided in Belvidere for 15 years, prior to that he lived in West Paterson . Thomas was a self employed Limo Driver; he owned and operated Thomas David Livery service in West Paterson . He retired in 1987. He graduated from Central High School in Paterson . He served proudly in the US Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Solomons During WWII. He was of Protestant faith.He enjoyed fishing and working on automobiles. He was a NY Yankee fan. Tom was proud to have served his country and proud to be an American.But above all Tom cherished his family and his pride of each and every one of them was known to all. Memberships: Tom was a member of the American Legion in Belvidere , post 131. He volunteered for the Warren County ARC. Survivors: His loving wife of 59 years, Mary; two sons, Glenn David and his wife Valerie of Matawan, NJ and James David of Belvidere; a daughter, June David also of Belvidere; a brother, Robert and his wife Mae of West Paterson; one granddaughter, Karen David. Services: A visitation will be held Tuesday June 9, 2009 from 10:00AM -12:00PM in the Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 West Washington Ave, Washington, 07882. A service will be held Tuesday June 9, 2009 at 12:00 PM with Pastor James Scovell officiating in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave , Washington , 07882. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery . Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ARC of Warren County, 319 West Washington Ave, Suite 2 , Washington , NJ 07882 .
