I covered Franklin Township for The Express, The Daily Record and The Star-Ledger at various times when Carl was in office and after he retired. He was a terrific public servant and a hoot. I would end up sitting next to him at meetings after he left the township committee just to hear his wisecracks. One of the highlights of the Fair was always Carl making the giant sundae and talking the moms who were trying to watch their weight into a huge dish! This is a great loss for Warren County.

There are no words to say at a time like this; sorry doesnt even seem appropriate. The pain you are feeling is so hard, and for that I am sorry. When someone dies, a piece of you dies with them and until you see your husband and father again, i truly feel your never the same until that occurs.
Prayers to each of you as you try to get through the upcoming days and weeks that follow. I will never forget all the good times we once shared and the luv we had for each other. God Bless.
