Obituary of Edith M Hill

Edith M. Hill, 96, a lifelong resident of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on January 25, 2018 at Brakeley Park Care Center. Edith was born on February 24, 1921 in Whitehouse, NJ to the late Fredrick and Elizabeth Runyon.

Edith was a waitress and operated Hill's Diner with her late husband Wilson. She was a life member of the United Methodist Church of Washington. She was a past member of the Eastern Star and the Washington Women's club.

She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Mowrey and husband Jim of Martin's Creek. A son, Roger Hill of Belvidere. Grandchildren, Matthew Mowrey and Mandy Cole and a great-grandchild Mackenna Cole. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Wilson K. Hill who passed in 1992. Her brothers, Norman and Stanley Runyon and her sister Illamae Duyckinck.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday January 29, 2018 from 10:00 � 11:00 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Jean McMullan officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Phillipsburg.
