Obituary of Richard A Kane
Richard A. Kane, 71, of Franklin Township, NJ passed away peacefully on April 21, 2018 at Holly Manor Residential Care Center in Mendham, NJ.
Richard was born on July 12, 1946 in Staten Island, NY to the late Richard and Ivy Kane.
He was a graduate of St. Peters High School in Staten Island, NY. He went on to further his education at Richmond County College and Wagner College in Biochemistry and then receiving his Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University. He obtained a degree in Chiropractic Medicine from New York Chiropractic College and a degree in Physician Assistant from St. Vincent,s School of Physician Assistant in NY. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life Arlene in 1975. Before his retirement, Richard was most recently employed as a Physician Assistant and previously as a Chiropractic Physician and Biomedical Engineer.
He was of the Catholic faith. Richard was a member of the Rotary Club and the Board of Education in Somerset, NJ. He was an avid reader and enjoyed horseback riding and electronics.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Arlene Kane, his loving children, daughter, Lori Maresco and her husband Dennis. Two sons, Gary Tetley and his wife Michele, Gregory Kane and his wife Kelly. A sister, Joyce Grant. Six cherished grandchildren, Justin, Meagan, Michael, Sebastian, Wyatt and Lucas. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Sheila Kane.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 26, 2018 at 12:30 PM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
