Obituary of Antonios P. Gagakis
Antonios P. Gagakis, 55, of Washington, NJ, died on Sunday, November 6, 2005 in Port Murray due to an automobile related incident.
Born: On February 17, 1950 in Volos, Greece, he was a son of the late Pedasteda and Panayiotis Gagakis.
Personal: Tony came to the United States in 1973 at the age of 23. He was a resident of Washington, NJ for the past 10 years, previously living in Budd Lake. He was a host at the Tic Toc Diner in Easton and also had worked at the Wayfarer Restaurant and the Washington Diner. He also was a skilled carpenter/upholster for over 30 years. He served in the Greek Navy. Tony was of the Greek Orthodox faith. He loved hunting, tinkering with cars, and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors: He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Stanneck and her husband, Eric of Washington, NJ; a son, Pano Gagakis, also of Washington, NJ; two brothers, George and Nikos of Volos, Greece; a sister, Marina Stavakis of Crete, Greece; and three grandsons, Andrew, Adam, and Alex.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. Call on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, Inc., Washington, NJ.
