Obituary of Joseph S Sclafani

Joseph S. Sclafani, 79, of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on July 11, 2019 at the Kindred Care Hospital in Dover, NJ.

He was born on May 5, 1940 in NY, NY to the late Charles and Lena Sclafani.

Joseph graduated from Lodi high school in 1958. He was originally from Lodi and Byram Township, NJ before moving to Belvidere, NJ in 2001. Joseph owned and operated pet stores in Rockaway and Washington, NJ. He also was a real-estate agent for many years. After his retirement he enjoyed fishing and was very talented in crafting wooden fishing lures and wooden pens. He was also very skillful in computer building, which he enjoyed as a hobby.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife, of 59 years Rose Marie: Daughters, Terry Cooke and her husband Donald and Joanne Marquart and her husband Christopher; A sister, Nancy Focarino and her husband Lou; Grandchildren, Hannah Cooke, Samantha and Christopher Marquart. Sister in-laws, Irene Melone, Loretta Haddad and husband Joseph; Georgeann Hudson; Brother In-law, William Lopusnak and his wife Marie; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday July 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Discovery Church. 33 Brass castle Rd. Washington, NJ 07882. Interment will follow at Montana Mountain Cemetery. Harmony, NJ.
