I met Janet when we were both on the Home Economics Advisory Council of ,Warren County Cooperative Extension for several years starting in the '80s, and we would usually travel together. We discovered that we were both alumnae of Douglass College, separated by 20 years. We always had lots to talk about! I am so happy that Janet was part oif my life for that time. She was such a lovely person...the last time I saw her was on an excercise bike at Gibson's Gym, when she was starting to "slow down", prior to moving from Washington. Her passing is a loss to her loved ones, as well as to the community. My deepest condolences.

Janet was the backbone of our St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. There was nothing that happened at the church that did not bear the mark of her involvement and love. She cared deeply for the church and everyone in it, and she gave tirelessly of her time. She was a mentor and a friend to me, and I will miss her so much. RIP, dear Janet.

When I came to St. Peter´s in the early 80s, I was young and we were new to Washington. I was a bit intimidated by the church´s matriarchs, Janet among them. But oh, how I learned to love and respect their wisdom. Janet has been missed at St. Peter´s these past several years. RIP Janet.
